Well, we made it!!

Today is our final day of the EGS Challenge!!

(Be sure to listen to this morning’s call)

Of course, this is really just the beginning. If you’ve been participating in the challenge or are just reading along, hopefully you have a much better understanding of how the Emotional Guidance Scale works and are much more familiar with your personal interpretation of each of the set points.

Today is a good day (like every day) to be present to the high vibration of Joy, Freedom, Love, Empowerment, and particularly Appreciation. And, in doing so, today is also a good day to be telling your new story. Not who you were, or even who you are, but how who you are becoming.

Abraham is constantly reminding us that the Universe is constantly expanding and evolving and so are we. Once we know where we are (which we have done through this EGS Challenge), then we can consciously and deliberately move in the direction of who we want to become.

What is your new story?

Tomorrow is our last day of the EGS Challenge… I will be pulling together an archive of all the posts and comments and recordings. And I am soliciting your thoughts about the whole experience: how it has worked and how it hasn’t. I’ll be writing about a few of my own “lessons learned” as well over the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, on to day 22: Joy / Knowledge / Empowerment / Freedom / Love / Appreciation

Enthusiasm / Eagerness / Happiness

So… how are you doing? We’re almost at the end of the challenge. What have you learned about yourself? About money? About your feelings?

Today I was reminded that doing all of this work simply to make something happen is not really the point. The point is to feel good.

When I feel good, I am non-resistant. When I am non-resistant, then those things in my vibrational escrow (or what the Communion of Light calls “the storeroom”) are able to make their way to me.

On an immediately recognizable and practical level, feeling good means being confident, being clear, being myself. All of these qualities make me energetically attractive, as I’ve seen over and over again.

I can be, do, or have anything. And feeling good makes it all possible.

This is important for me to remember:

If I’m feeling Depression – “Stuff just isn’t worth it.” – then I’m not feeling good.

If I’m feeling Jealousy – “Why don’t I have some of his/her stuff? His/her stuff is better than mine.” – then I’m not feeling good.

If I’m feeling Doubtful – “Since I don’t have my stuff, I doubt this actually works.” – then I’m not feeling good.

If I’m feeling Impatience – “Where’s my stuff?” – then I’m not feeling good.

If I’m feeling Frustration – “I need better stuff than the stuff I’ve got.” – then I’m not feeling good.

If I’m feeling any of those things, I usually want “my stuff” to appear so that I can prove to myself that this works.

But…

If I’m willing to feel Boredom – “I didn’t want any of that stuff anyway.” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Contentment – “It’s ok with me if I never get my stuff.” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Hopefulness – “My stuff is probably on its way.” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Optimism – “I know the Universe is bringing me my stuff.” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Positive Expectation – “I expect that the Universe is bringing me my stuff. And soon!” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Enthusiasm – “The Universe is obviously taking care of my stuff. Woo Hoo!” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Passion – “I can almost touch my stuff. I can feel it already in my life even though I can’t see it yet.” – then I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

If I’m willing to feel Freedom – “The Universe has my stuff under control and is handling everything. I love my life!” – then I am where I want to be.

Positive Expectation / Belief

Today has brought lots of opportunities to move into Positive Expectation.

Someone close to me and whom I love dearly is sitting in jail at this moment waiting to be arraigned. Why he is there is not important. What is important is that, in my mind, I see him, with Positive Expectation, finally finding that place within himself where he truly experiences Freedom and Joy.

I can’t fix his problem. In fact, I don’t think he is really broken. He is temporarily lost. Fortunately, the Universe caught him and put him somewhere that gives him the chance to see what he is manifesting.

In my experience of Positive Expectation, I’m noticing that I can hold in my mind the vision of what I am expecting to occur and fill that vision with all manner of wonderful, positive energy. As I charge my vision with Freedom, Joy, Love, Happiness, and Appreciation, I notice that the manifestation of my vision begins to feel inevitable. It simply must happen and it will happen. This is what Abraham refers to as arriving at “the next obvious step.”

Meanwhile…

I haven’t written about my new story in a few days. Mostly because I am living my new story and writing about it simply didn’t occur to me. But today, I want to continue the tale:

Today I am knowing, beyond a doubt, that where I am is perfect. And that where I am is just the beginning of where I am going and who I am becoming.

I love that I am in the middle of an amazing journey. I am really getting how joyful the journey itself is, once I allow that truth to become real to me. My life is always unfolding beautifully and I am deeply appreciative of all that I behold.

And from this place of appreciation, I am embracing the next steps. I see and move into the next expansive step. No more will I worry about what is coming. For now I know that I am always on the right track. And by noticing that I am on the right track, I give up resistance and begin to expect more and more of what I love and what I am having already.

I know that I am wildly prosperous. The Universe is printing more and more money for me, even as I am writing these words.

I know that there is an infinite amount and variety of love in my experience. As I become aware of how much I love myself and the experience I have created for myself, then this love expands and expands and becomes tremendous. It is as if everyone has fallen in love with me because I have fallen in love with me. And, to be Frank, I like that!

I know that there is an ever expanding freedom in all of my days. I move around and dance around and skip around and fall in love with everything that I am manifesting. I am free to go, to do, to be, to have… anything!

I have so much prosperity, so much love, and so much freedom that I can even allow myself to simply sit quietly and just breathe in the magic that is all around me.

Optimism

On the call last night, Christine was asking about the definition of this word. There are some who will read this and think, “What?” And there are others who will think, “Yeah! What does it mean?”

Most likely, there is at least one set point on the EGS that you may have thought did not relate to you or that you weren’t sure what the word meant.

I think there are two possible reasons for this.

First, not every set point is necessarily part of your reality. You may naturally flow up the EGS from Depression to Anger to Worry to Frustration to Boredom to Hopefulness… etc. And the set points in between may just be “whistle stops” on the way up.

Second, there may be another word that is more accurately a description of your particular interpretation of the set point. For me, this became evident at Contentment. A better word for me, that really does mean the same thing (at least I think it does) is Acceptance.

So, in our conversation last night, I rooted around for another word for Optimism. Other people may have one, but I couldn’t find one. I could think of several possible thesaurus entries, but they all related to other set points.

But one thing did occur to me. There are some phrases that might define set points for those who are having trouble with any of the words. Here’s my go at that:

Boredom

“I don’t care if things get better.”

Contentment

“I’m ok with things the way they are.”

Hopefulness

“It’s possible things could get better.”

Optimism

“I know things will get better.”

Positive Expectation / Belief

“I expect things will get better. And soon.”

Enthusiasm / Eagerness / Happiness

“I’m so happy that things are getting better. Woo Hoo!”

Passion

“I can feel that things are much better and it’s such a powerful feeling.”

Joy / Knowledge / Empowerment / Freedom / Love / Appreciation

“Things are better. In fact, they have always been better even when I couldn’t see that fact. I’m so in love with these things and how much better they really are. I feel completely liberated from any need to do anything about these things since I know that the Universe is completely handling everything. This feels so good and it feels better and better all the time.”

Update #1 10:40 PM CDT

So, the RNC convention is giving me all sorts of opportunities for Hopefulness. I know this isn’t specifically about money, but as I notice news about the events surrounding the nominations, I’m noticing that my attention gets sent back to how I want to feel Hopefulness about how this election will work out.

Hmmm…. maybe this is about money after all….

On another note, I had a wonderful session with a client today. In her conversation with the Communion of Light, she asked many questions about a physical condition she has. It would seem to be impossible to change, but they gave her some very specific ideas about aligning with her vision of herself as she wants to be.

Listening to the conversation, I was very much struck by the fact that this woman had moved from Depression to Pessimism in a very short amount of time. She was feeling stuck in Pessimism. And all she really wanted in the moment was to move into Hopefulness. She kept saying that, in many different ways, throughout the conversation. The “coincidence” was pretty amazing.

Tonight I am appreciating how she is reaching for Hopefulness and finding ways to get in line with the vision she has of her body and how magnificently it can function. Very inspirational stuff!!

Original Post

Hopefulness is where things begin to come together for me. Contentment (and acceptance) allow me to get to Hopefulness because I get ok with things as they are. Hopefulness is the next obvious step because I have a clear sense that things might definitely get better.

How that pertains to money: Hopefulness means that I am getting closer and closer to the place I want to be. And I want to be at Freedom and Joy with money. Money is a form of energy and I know that as I charge that energy with Freedom and Joy then it works with me. Money flows in more and more effortlessly and I am more and more in a place of loving what I am doing as money is flowing in and out.

What does Hopefulness mean to you?

(I’m posting this very late and backdating it — my apologies!)

For me, Contentment is similar to Acceptance. So, today I have found myself moving through the day and feeling ok with everything that was happening. A few upsets occurred, but they were not a big deal. Or I didn’t see them that way.

Today we are movin’ on up. To the top. We’re obviously out of the woods as far as negative emotions about money is concerned.

So, I would like to ask everyone reading this: what has changed in your life around money in the last 16 days?

I’ll start with a small list, that will be growing:

I’ve let go of any Despair I was holding onto about money. It’s completely gone.

I really understand how much Jealousy has impacted my relationship with money and doing my work. I can see it when Jealousy comes up and it’s much easier to shift.

I’ve made peace with the possibility that I may need to specifically ask for every bit of money that flows in. I have had a lot of resistance around this subject for many months, and now that has dissolved.

I know how to ask for money or resources or inspiration and then allow the Universe to deliver it. I’ve demonstrated this again and again and now I have confidence that the process works.

What changes are you noticing?

This morning’s call is now available. You can listen to it here.

We’re continuing our journey up the EGS today. Every set point is expanding. And we are well past the halfway mark.

I want to invite you to continue to focus on your new story and to really bring your attention to it. If you look at the the last few posts and comments, you will see examples of several people writing about their new story.

Writing (or speaking, or drawing, or painting) my new story is not about putting a happy face on things when that’s not how I am feeling. My new story is where I want to go from here. And, as I describe my new story, I know I am on track because I feel better and better and more and more excited about what I am writing. If I am putting a happy face on things, I usually feel boredom or disappointment or just feel my energy falling.

My new story, by the way, can be something as simple as this:

Now that I know what Boredom around money feels like, I know that I will immediately recognize this emotional set point whenever I return to it. With this awareness, I feel better about my ability to quickly move up the EGS to Freedom and Joy at any time I choose to do so.

My new story is always changing and expanding, as I grow and evolve. So, I don’t worry about getting it just perfect or saying the right things. What I find is happening is that I am allowing my Inner Being to speak through me and guide me to that place where I am wanting to be.

And it is very, very delicious!

Frustration / Impatience / Irritation

Good morning! Well, it’s almost afternoon — as I am late in posting!

Some interesting things are happening with this challenge. No one has called in for the support calls since Thursday night, except for this morning when I had technical problems and missed the one person who did call in. But I consider that a distinction without a difference.

My perspective about what is happening is this: I’m feeling a little worn out from exploring all of these heavier emotions. While each set point gets better and better, I’m discovering that there is a part of me that is feeling a bit Impatient with the process. I’ve wanted to chuck the whole thing a couple of times already. Not that I will or would, but that has come up. I suspect I’m not alone in this…

Part of the Impatience stems from the thought that, regardless of what I say to others when they ask about this, I forget I don’t have to stay at that day’s set point. The POINT is to notice what comes up, move through it, and then move on with the day. And, in moving on with the day, I want to remind myself to move up the EGS and stay there. I know I’m there, by the way, when I’m writing my new story and the words just fly onto the screen.

One other thing — yesterday, I had a big manifestation. The manifestation was a result of asking for something specific then working through the contrasting vibrations that came up, followed by listening to my Higher Self and acting on that inspiration. The inspiration was pretty big and audacious. Following through on it required me to constantly throw the ball back to the Universe saying, “You take care of this.” Otherwise, it would have been too overwhelming.

The way I asked for this something specific was using a process that has been working for me with “smaller” things (parking spaces, lines speeding up, moving through traffic, etc.). In case it inspires anyone else, here is how it works:

I decide what I want to experience.

I then imagine what the result of that experience would be — usually on the far end of the experience — the moment just after it manifests.

I close my eyes (if possible).

I see myself in what I imagined in #2 above.

I combine that vision with joy or appreciation or relief (which works well if I can’t find any other emotion).

I hold that for a few seconds.

I let it go.

Whenever a question about it comes up, I let it go again, saying something to myself like, “I know this is handled.” I’ve discovered that I literally have to turn my attention away from it.

When the manifestation occurs (or something better), I make sure to acknowledge to myself what the Universe brought me through the Law of Attraction. And that it came to me because I stopped, got clear, felt it, and let it go.

This always work. (By the way, I’ve written about this in a slightly different way here.)

As for the specifics of the manifestation, I will just say that it involved money and the completion of an outstanding project. I’m keeping the other details on the QT in order to respect the privacy of at least one person.

OK — Having written all that, I now want to write about my new story:

I now know that I can directly engage the awesome and amazing power of the Universe whenever I want. No longer will I whine or get sulky that I’m not getting what I want. I know I can clearly attract the very thing (or something better) that I’m wanting just by getting quiet and focusing upon it and then letting the Universe do its work.

In fact, I’ve proven this to myself again and again so I’m now going to take my own best advice and engage the Universe more and more in this way. And, if I find a better way, I will use that. I understand, like never before, that each of us has our own way of manifesting and I have found the one that works for me.

As I drop my impatience and understand the power that exists within me, I begin to feel better and better about where I am. I’m not worried about the state of affairs in my life since I know they are always improving. And, I’m definitely not worried about others since I know that they are powerful in their own right and in their own ways and that they are finding out how to tap into that power themselves. So I see my family and my friends as master manifestors and I contribute to their own knowledge of that by seeing them in this way.

I am free to live my life in the way that feels better and better to me. I am free to draw to me the events, circumstances, feelings, thoughts, emotions, and relationships that feel better and better to me. I am free to revel in the knowing that all is well. And that this is not a slogan or a wanna-be statement. All is well means exactly what it says. My life is perfect and it’s getting better and better as I evolve and expand all the while knowing that my Higher Self is walking with me, holding my hand, and whispering in my ear.

Life is wonderful. And so are you!!

WOO HOO!!
